Linnea Turner grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and graduated from the National Cathedral School in Washington. She received her B.A. in history from Duke University, her M.A. in medieval history, with honors, from Wright State University, and her M.Div., cum laude, from Virginia Theological Seminary. Before entering the ministry, she worked for defense consulting companies as an analyst in the areas of operations planning and training for emergency preparedness and continuity of government.
Linnea and her husband Michael have been married since 1967 and have two grown children, Anne and George.
