Christian Formation

"Almighty God, the foundation of all wisdom: Enlighten by your Holy Spirit those who teach and those who learn, that, rejoicing in the knowledge of your truth, they may worship you and serve you from generation to generation; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen."

-Prayer for Education, Book of Common Prayer, p. 261

Christian Formation refers to the lifelong journey of growth and enrichment that all Christians are called to undertake.  Becoming a deeply formed Christian takes time and commitment.  The process starts at our baptism and continues throughout all the stages of our life.  As Episcopalians, we draw on a variety of sources as we reflect on our faith and spirituality, including the Old and New Testaments, the traditions of the Church, and our individual experiences.

Given that Christian formation is a lifelong activity, here at Leeds we offer formation opportunities for children, youth, and adults.  To learn more about our offerings, click on the links in the sidebar.
